NATIONAL PRESIDENT'S SPECIAL STATEMENT
I would like to extend thanks and appreciation to God Almighty who has made it possible for us to get together again this year as one people. It is my distinguished honor to welcome you warmedly to the 2024 National Convention, the first under my watch as National President, taking place in Minnesota, June 6 – 9, 2024.It has been a cherished and great experience leading this Nobel organization as your first female president. A year ago I took over the leadership of our Association following my appointment by the Elders Council and the Board of Directors, a responsibility I gladly accepted with gratitude and excitement, and, with the hope that together, we are going to build a better and stronger Putu Apoleagbo.
Here today, I am pleased to announce to you that that sweet dream has been realized with a bright future for our noble organization. Putu Apoleagbo Association in the America has never been as bright and promising as it is today, and for joint achievement, I am thankful to the National Board of Directors and general membership of Putu with out whom our goals could not have been achieved.
However, along the gains We have achieved together, there have been challenges too, yes for sure, but we been able to overcome those challenges for the love of our people and our community, and we remain stronger and united as ever before. Let’s be reminded that none of us is perfect, but we have a duty to do our best because our people deserve the very best from us.
My fellow putuain, thank you for the opportunity given me to serve you. I want to take this time to also say thanks to all putuain and non putuain who have travlled from all over the country to be here to share this special occasion with us. I know that finding the time from jobs, homes, family or the money to finance trips can be very challenging but you made it safely for love and cause of Putu. I want to thank you greatly. On the state of affairs of Putu, we want to proudly inform you amongst other things about the Administration’s activities and accomplishments in the last one year:
- Our Administration is currently undertaking a modern Guest House Project in Putu-Pennokon.
- We have insured putu Apoleagbo Association With its own bank account and phone number.
3. We have restored the 501(c3) status and the website of the Putu Apoleagbo Association in the America. In conclusion, I want to give special thanks to our guests speaker, our former leaders. National Board of Directors and its members. Executives of the National Administration, Chapters Presidents,, National Queen, National Chairlady and all chapters Chairladies.
Many thanks to our host chapters president and its members. National Convention chair Florence Samos and her incredible team. Our project fundraiser launder . Our Mc and DJ. Not forgotten my lovely children and my beloved husband and senior advisor, Hon. Klarwlue Manneh, Sr., the solid rock on which I stand as woman in leadership, thanks for being a pillar of support.
